Getting Started
Using the Help Documents
This website provides information on Springbrook Software Version 7. You
can locate a document on a specific process or window using the left-hand menu
bar, or you can search the documents by topic (for example, "final an account")
using the keyword search engine.
General information on the application
If you are looking for general information on the application, review the
General Walkthrough document. The General Walkthrough document
describes how to log into the application, navigate through the windows,
modify your user preferences, and generate reports. The General Walkthrough document also contains
links to related documents that provide detailed information on specific topics, such as the
Jobs Viewer and
View Reports window.
General information on a module
If you are looking for general information on a module (for example, the
Utility Billing or Cash Receipts module), open a module
overview document by clicking on a module on the left-hand menu bar (Click
here for an overview of the Utility Billing module.) The module overview
documents provide a basic overview of the module and contains links to documents that contain more detailed information.
General information on how modules interface
If you would like a general overview of how the modules in the application
interface with each other, open the
Interface Diagram page. The Interface Diagram page displays a matrix of the
modules and how they interface, including a brief description of the interface.
Flowchart diagrams
There are also flowchart diagrams on many of the
module index pages that display how batch processes within modules interface
with one another. For example, open the PO module index page (click
here) to view how the processes in the PO module interact, and how purchase
orders become AP module invoices. The flowchart
diagrams represent how the batches and modules within the application interface at a process level, not
at a workflow level (for example, the PO module flowchart does not include
information about how purchase orders are approved within departments).
Help Documentation Icons
Each help document on this website has five icons at the top of the page.
Click here for a description of icons in the
application.
- The Print icon
is used to print the document that displays in the window. Clicking this icon will create a printer
friendly version of the document that does not contain the menu bar or extraneous graphics.
- The Email icon
is used to create an email that contains a hyperlink to a specific
help document. For example, if you would like to email the link to a
help document to a co-worker, or to Springbrook Support.
- The MS Word Export icon
is used to create a Microsoft Word document of the help page. This allows you to export
a help document to an MS Word file and customize it for use in creating internal process documents.
- Click the Customer icon
to open the Client Services Center page of the main Springbrook website (www.sprbrk.com).
The Client Services Center page is used to establish a Web Interactive connection
with a Springbrook Support Specialist or Programmer, or view work order history.
- The Help icon
is a link to this page.
- The Comment icon
is
used to send a comment about the documentation to Springbrook Software. Your comments
will be used to improve the Version 7 help documentation, and are
greatly appreciated. This form is only used to submit suggestions for how
the help documents can be improved and should not be used to submit support
questions. If you have questions about the application, please contact
