Fixed Asset Search
Summary
The Asset Search screen is used to quickly filter and search existing fixed assets.
- Open the Asset Search window (FA> Asset Search).
- Enter information into the Search Criteria section and click Search button
to filter the fixed assets in the data grid below.- The Keyword field is used to filter the assets by a keyword from the Description field.
- Use the * (asterisk) as a wild card to expand the search to include partial keywords. For example, if a user enters "Maintenance" in the Keyword field, the results will be limited to accounts that include "Maintenance" in the description. But if a user enters "Mai*" in the Keyword field, the results will include accounts that include "Maintenance" in the description as well as accounts that include terms such as "Mail" and "Main".
- Use "AND" and "OR" operators to narrow or expand the search results.
- For example, a search for "Tax and FICA" would return the "FICA Tax Payable" result. A search for "Tax or Taxes" would return "Tax Preparation" and "State Taxes" results.
- The assets that display in the data grid can be sorted by column or grouped and then sorted. Click here for information on Cirrus Data Grids.
- The Keyword field is used to filter the assets by a keyword from the Description field.
- Select a fixed asset and click EDIT or click CREATE ASSET to open the Fixed Asset Maintenance window.
