The Cirrus Enhancement Spotlight is a monthly announcement that appears on the Home page of the Cirrus application. These announcements highlight a few of the notable enhancements made to the Cirrus in the last month. This page will display past Enhancement Spotlight announcements so users can revisit new functionality or usability improvements they may have missed when the announcement was made.
April 2026
The New Cirrus Report Viewer
The new Cirrus Report Viewer allows you to quickly open completed Jobs Viewer reports right in the Cirrus application with a simple double-click.

Improved Efficiency - No more downloading reports before opening

Customizable Actions - Controlled by new options in My Profile
Open the My Profile page and update the new Report Viewer Preferences field to start using the Report Viewer today!
Improved Security Visibility
When users encounter Batch Steps or Data Grid columns that they are unable to access or update, confusion can derail normal workflows. Better visibility into why that data is inaccessible can help get those users the information they need to get back on track.

Batch Steps that are not accessible for the current user will now display the Shield icon. This access is controlled in Menu Security.

Data Grid columns that are normally editable but set to read-only for the current user will now display the Shield icon. This access is controlled by Database Security.

Two New Fixed Asset Reports
Two new Fixed Asset inventory reports are now available to Cirrus users.

The Physical Inventory report provides a detailed listing of assets filtered by status, location, and condition. Users can set up two levels of sorting and include any notes attached to the asset record.

The Physical Inventory Counts report provides inventory counts for selected assets or locations. Users can filter counts by date, sort the included data, and include notes.

Big Usability Updates to Cash Receipts
We've been hard at work improving the Cash Receipts process. Here are a few recent enhancements:

CSV Export All option in the Receipt Search data grid for comprehensive reporting

Hyperlinks on the Receipts screen to allow quick access to existing receipts

Summary data at the top of the Receipt Details screen displaying amount, payer, and receipt details

Database optimization designed to improve system performance

Cirrus Notes
Cirrus Notes are now available on the AP Vendor, AR Account, FA Fixed Asset, GL Chart of Accounts, PM Task, PO Purchase Order, PR Employee, SS Customer, SS Lot, and UB Account screens.
There is also a new Notes Search tool in SS> Utilities where you can search, sort, and delete all your notes in one place.
Look for Cirrus Notes to come to additional Cirrus screens in the future!
Human Resources Tools Now in Payroll
The Payroll module now includes several tools that were part of the Human Resources module in Springbrook V7. These include Bulk Deductions, COLA, Grades and Steps, Pay Adjustments, Positions, and Position Control.
These changes are in preparation for a more robust and integrated Cirrus Human Resources module that will be coming soon.

Add Notes in Cirrus

The new Notes feature allows users to attach notes to Cirrus records. These notes include @ functionality to notify other users, the ability to generate automated reminders, and the ability to specify an expiration date.

Notes are currently available on the AP Vendor and PR Employee Maintenance screens and will be made available on additional screens in future releases.
Expanded System Wide Access Functionality

Most application-wide Springbrook features are now available in the SS Module in Cirrus.
-
You can now manage your security settings, publish reports for all modules, and create custom import and export configurations without leaving Cirrus.
Grid-based Workflow Approvals
-
The Workflow Approvals screen now includes an optional grid-based view. This view allows users to view and sort approval and process data, approve or reject workflows, and view comments and attachments on a single screen.
