Holiday Maintenance

 

Summary

 

The Holiday Maintenance window is used to create and maintain payroll holidays. Holidays can be used in conjunction with user-defined overtime rules to trigger overtime or holiday pay when an employee records timesheet hours on a holiday.

Step by Step

 

1     View the existing holidays.  

 

  • The Holiday Maintenance window (PR> Maintenance> Holiday) will display all of the existing holidays set up in the application.
  • Select a Holiday and click COPY to copy the current year's holiday to the next calendar year.
  • Select a holiday and click DELETE to delete the selected holiday.
  • Click ADD to create a new holiday.

 

2     Create a new holiday.  

 

  • Select a Date from the drop-down menu.
    • Once a date is specified and the new holiday is saved, the Year field to the left will display the selected year.
  • Enter a Description for the holiday.
  • Click UPDATE to save the new holiday.
