Summary
The Budget Types Maintenance window is used to create and maintain the budget types used in the Extended Budgeting process. Examples of extended budget types you might want to create are: operating, supplemental, capital, period and/or mid-year.

Step by Step
1 View the extended budget types. 
- The Type Maintenance window will display all of the extended budgeting types that have been created in the database. Select a budget type in the left section of the window and the Type field in the Maintenance section of the window will populate with the information attached to the selected budget type.
- Highlight a budget type and click the Delete icon
or press DELETE to delete the selected budget type. - Click the Create icon
or press INSERT to create a new budget type. This will create a new line item in the left section of the window.
2 Create or modify an extended budgeting type.
- Enter a budget type in the Type field. Budget types can be up to 30 alphanumeric characters long.
- Click the Save icon
when complete.
