Category Code Maintenance
Summary
Category codes are user-defined groupings that can be used to group and
filter the information on reports. Category codes are attached to UB customer
accounts using the Account Master Maintenance window (UB> Maintenance> Account>
Account tab> Account sub-tab> Categories section).

Step by Step
1 View the categories.
- Open the Category Maintenance window (UB> Maintenance> Category). The Category Maintenance window will display all of
the categories that have been created in the application.
- Highlight a category in the left section of the window and the information attached to the selected category will populate
in the Maintenance section.
- Highlight a category and click the Delete icon
to delete the selected category.
- You cannot delete categories that are attached to customer accounts.
2 Create a new category.
- Click the Create icon
to create a new category. This will add a
new line item to the left section of the window and the fields in the
Maintenance section will be blank to enter the information associated with
the category.
- The Code field is used to identify each category. The value in this field must be unique and can be up to 20
characters long.
- The Description field is used to enter a
description of the category. The value in this field can be up to 50
characters long.
- Press ENTER or click the Save icon
when complete to save the category.
