Springbrook Cirrus

Release Notes

Release notes for the Springbrook Cirrus application. This list will be updated as enhancements and corrections are released.

10/01/2026

  • Enhancement: Application Wide > Cards: Cards across Cirrus received spacing and readability corrections. Excess whitespace below card content is gone, padding above the text and around action buttons is tighter, and body text now renders in the standard black rather than grey. Long values truncate with an ellipsis and show the full text in a tooltip instead of wrapping or overflowing.

  • Enhancement: Application Wide > Reports > Report History: Report History now lists the last ten runs instead of three, matching what the system retains. The panel was also rebuilt on the standard component, which removes the horizontal scrollbar and the truncated entries that appeared in earlier builds.

  • Enhancement: Application Wide > Tab Ordering: Opening a side sheet to create or edit a line now puts focus on the first editable field rather than a fixed one. Users who hid that field through tab ordering previously had to click into the sheet before typing. Fields that already hold a value have the whole value selected.

  • Enhancement: PR > State Reports > KY Unemployment: The Kentucky unemployment export now follows the KUIP file format. The State ID field is relabeled Kentucky Employer Identification Number, is required, and rejects an incorrect format before you export; hyphens are stripped from the value written to the file. Employees with zero gross wages for the quarter are omitted, and multiple pay records for one employee combine into a single entry. Negative wages are never written, and affected employees are listed for you to review.

  • Enhancement: SS > List Boxes > Display Security: The Bank Code and Department list boxes now respect display security, so users see only the values their permissions allow. Restricted entries no longer appear in selection lists where the underlying record is hidden elsewhere in the application.

  • Enhancement: TC > Maintenance: Display names no longer save with leading or trailing spaces. Codes across Tax Collection maintenance, including adjustment type, bill type, exemption, purpose, receipt type, school and summary codes, now strip surrounding whitespace so records sort and match consistently.

  • Enhancement: UB > Meter Changeout: When Meter changeouts copy winter average is enabled in UB Setup, processing a changeout now carries the winter average from the removed meter to the new one. This applies to both an individual service request and the meter changeout import. The average does not carry when the account number differs or the setting is off.

  • Enhancement: UB > Utilities > Setup: The Meter changeouts copy winter average toggle is now available on the Device tab. When checked, a meter changeout carries the existing winter average forward to the replacement device, rather than leaving the new meter without one.

  • Correction: Application Wide > Data Grids: Column choices and ordering now persist after you log out and back in. Preferences saved on grids such as GL Chart of Accounts and AP Vendor Search were lost on the next session, and columns briefly flickered between old and new settings on load. Saved preferences now apply on first render.

  • Correction: AP > Maintenance > Vendor: The Zip Code field now shows the grey background that marks a field as read-only. Without it, the field looked editable on both the create and edit forms, so users tried to type into it.

  • Correction: BR > Utilities > Update Check Number and Dates: Correcting a check committed with a check number of zero now works in Cirrus for non-ACH vendors, matching Springbrook Enterprise. The check that looks for matching ACH history now correlates on check sequence and total amount, ignores voided and reversed entries, and accounts for manual checks and the bank account.

  • Correction: CR > Cash Receipts > Receipts: Changing the payment method on an uncommitted receipt that includes a line item now saves. The update previously failed with an error about saving entity changes, so the same edit had to be made in Springbrook Enterprise instead.

  • Correction: CR > Cash Receipts > Cash Entry: Receipt Date and Interest Date now enforce a valid range. Entering a year outside 1850 to 2150 previously saved the receipt with the current date and no warning, or threw an exception on very old dates. Invalid entries are now rejected with a message before the receipt saves.

  • Correction: CR > Cash Receipts > Cash Entry: Paying the remaining balance on an installment agreement now assesses every penalty that applies. When a partial payment had already covered the first penalty, Cash Receipts calculated only that rate and omitted the later one, so the amount due was short of the bill total shown in Tax Collection.

  • Correction: CR > Cash Receipts > Cash Entry: The Payment dialog now shows the edited amount even when you click Pay without leaving the amount field first. The dialog previously reverted to the original balance in that case, so a cashier could post the wrong figure. The dialog also waits for the amount to finish updating before it opens.

  • Correction: CR > Cash Receipts > Cash Entry: Paying a bill with a long payment history no longer triggers a false pending payment warning. The check that looks for uncommitted receipts in another batch matched batch year, month and number separately rather than as one identifier, so unrelated open batches counted as matches. Installment agreement bills were the most affected.

  • Correction: GL > New Budget Info > Budget Analysis: The report now prints the title you enter in the Report Title field. Whatever you typed was ignored and the default heading printed instead, so a customized title could not be used to distinguish one run of the report from another.

  • Correction: GL > Utilities > Export Journal Entries: Configuration names containing a greater-than sign now display correctly in the Configuration dropdown. The character previously rendered as its raw HTML code, so affected configuration names were hard to read when choosing one.

  • Correction: IC > Maintenance > Item: Creating or updating an inventory item no longer fails with an unexpected application error. A duplicate entry in the search word index caused the save to abort, and retrying did not help until the underlying data was corrected. Items now save and the search index updates normally.

  • Correction: PR > Maintenance: Required fields now display the asterisk indicator across Payroll maintenance screens, including Accrual, Accrual Type, Deduction/Benefit Type, EEOC Types, Premium, Rate Code, Work Period and Workers Comp. Validation behavior is unchanged; only the visual marker was missing.

  • Correction: SS > Maintenance > Bank: The Bank Code field label now carries the asterisk that marks it as required. The field was already enforced on save, so the only change is that you can see it is required before attempting to create a bank.

  • Correction: SS > Utilities: Bank Import now appears in alphabetical order in the System Wide Access navigation, between Assign Tab Settings and Batch Administration. It previously sat out of sequence, making it harder to find in a list users scan alphabetically.

  • Correction: UB > Maintenance: Required fields now display the asterisk indicator across Utility Billing maintenance screens, including Bill Type, Category, Class, Comment Status, Conservation Data, Consumption Conversion, Cycle, Route, Service, Service Group and Statement Message. Validation behavior is unchanged; only the visual marker was missing.

  • Correction: UB > Maintenance > Account > History: The billing statement now fills the page when you open it from the Account History tab. The viewing area was compressed into a narrow band, leaving the statement too small to read without opening it elsewhere. Statements now span the page vertically at a readable size.
