Summary
Zones are user-defined groupings that allow you to group lots (for example, residential, commercial, etc.). Zones are attached to lot records using the Lot Maintenance window (Lot icon> Open a lot> Lot tab> Details section), and can be used when creating Query by Example reports. Step by Step

- Open the Zone Maintenance window (SS> Maintenance> Zone).
- The Zone Maintenance window will display all of the zones that have been created in the application.
- Highlight a zone in the left section of the window and the fields in the Maintenance section will populate with the information attached to the selected zone.
- If the Maintenance section does not display in the window, it has been reduced. Move the cursor to the right border of the window. When the border changes color, right click the mouse. This will expand the Maintenance section.
- Highlight a zone and click the Delete icon  to delete the 
		highlighted zone. If the zone is attached to a lot, you will not be able to 
		delete the zone. to delete the 
		highlighted zone. If the zone is attached to a lot, you will not be able to 
		delete the zone.

- Click the Create icon  to create a new zone. This will add a new 
		line item to the left section of the window and the fields in the 
		Maintenance section will be available to enter the zone record information. to create a new zone. This will add a new

- The Code field is used to identify a unique zone. The value in the Code field can be up to 20 characters long and it must be unique.
- The Description field is used to enter a description of the zone. The value in the Description field can be up to 50 characters long.
- Click the Save icon  or press ENTER to save the new zone. or press ENTER to save the new zone.
