General information on the application
If you are looking for general information on the application, click here for a quick tour of the basic features of the application. The quick tour describes how to log into the application, navigate through the windows, modify your user preferences, and generate reports. The quick tour also contains links to related documents that provide detailed information on specific topics, such as the Jobs Viewer and View Reports window.
The Version 7 help documents are organized into individual topics. Each topic covers a specific element or process within the application. Many of these topics include a list of procedural steps or explanations that can be expanded or collapsed in order to display only the steps that are relevant to your current task. Click the Expand drop-down button
next to a step to display the step details. Click the button again to hide the step details.
You can also use the Expand All icon
at the top of the page to expand all of the procedural steps included in the current topic. When the steps are expanded, the icon changes to Collapse All
and can be used to close all the procedural steps in the topic.
General information on a module
If you are looking for general information on a module (for example, the Utility Billing or Cash Receipts module), open a module overview document by clicking on a module in the Table of Contents to the left (Click here for an overview of the Utility Billing module.) The module overview documents provide a basic overview of the module and contains links to documents that contain more detailed information.
General information on how modules interface
If you would like a general overview of how the modules in the application interface with each other, open the Interface Diagram page. The Interface Diagram page displays a matrix of the modules and how they interface, including a brief description of the interface.
Flowchart diagrams
There are also flowchart diagrams on many of the module index pages that display how batch processes within modules interface with one another. For example, open the PO module index page (click here) to view how the processes in the PO module interact, and how purchase orders become AP module invoices. The flowchart diagrams represent how the batches and modules within the application interface at a process level, not at a work flow level (for example, the PO module flowchart does not include information about how purchase orders are approved within departments).
