My Profile
The My Profile menu is used to access and update your user profile, view your Cirrus notes, or to log out of the application.
- The General tab of the My Profile page is used to set up display preferences for your Profile avatar, notifications, data grids, and notes.
- Click the CHANGE AVATAR link to update the Profile icon that displays in the Top Menu.
- After clicking the link, a pop-up window will display all the available avatar options.
- Highlight the desired avatar and click SELECT to update your Profile icon.
- You can click the RESET AVATAR link to clear your avatar selection and revert back to the default Profile icon.
- Toggle the Reset message counter automatically after viewing option if you would like the Notification icon message counter to automatically reset from displaying the number of messages not yet viewed

When this toggle is not checked, the message counter will continue to increase until individual messages are deleted or until the CLEAR NOTIFICATIONS link is clicked. - Toggle the Show popup notification for status updates option if you would like the application to display notification messages in the bottom-right corner of the page when changes are made, reports are generated, or process steps are completed. For example, the notification message that will display after making changes to this User Preferences page would be
.- When this toggle is not checked, some high priority messages will still be displayed via popup notification.
- The Alert Method drop-down is used to select how users are alerted when a Cirrus job or process is compete or when a work flow requires their attention.
- Select In app notifications to use the notification system outlined on the General tab. Users may also receive notifications on their My Tasks screen when In app notifications is selected.
- Select Email if you would like to alert users via the email address attached to the user record on the User Maintenance window (SS> Maintenance> User). Click here for information on User Maintenance.
- Many email notifications include a link to the item that needs attention. If the recipient of the email already has a Cirrus session open, they will be able to access the linked item without logging into the application a second time.
- The Grid Preferences RESET TO DEFAULT button is used to reset all the data grids across Cirrus back to their default display settings.
- The Auto-hide search filters after each search is initiated toggle determines how the search filters are displayed across the application.
When this toggle is enabled, the search filter section on search screens across the application will automatically be hidden in order to allow more room on the screen to display the search results. The toggle will be enabled by default.
When this toggle is not enabled, the search filter section will always be displayed to allow quick, repetitive search filtering.
- The Alternate grid row shading toggle is used to enable alternating row shading in all Cirrus data grids to improve readability. This toggle will be checked by default.
- The Notes Preferences section is used to set up how Cirrus Notes will display in the application.
- Use the Default Visibility For Notes drop-down to determine who will have access to the notes you create.
- Select Self & Mentioned to limit visibility only to yourself and the users you mention who also have access to the record.
- While selecting Self & Mentioned in this field will limit visibility for standard Cirrus users, Cirrus administrators will have access to all notes.
- Select All to allow visibility to all users who have access to the record.
- Your selection in the field is only the default setting for new notes. You can always change the visibility on each individual note you create.
- Select Self & Mentioned to limit visibility only to yourself and the users you mention who also have access to the record.
- Check the Open Notes Viewer By Default toggle to automatically open any notes that are associated with the record and that are visible to you when the record is opened.
- There are two methods for displaying notes on records. Which method is used is determined by how the record is edited.
- Some records, such as AP Vendor Maintenance, display notes in an expandable split screen on the right side of the record. When this toggle is checked, that split screen will be expanded and displayed when you open the record.
- Some records, such as PR Employee Maintenance, display notes as floating boxes that can be moved around the screen. When this toggle is checked, the floating box will display when you open the record.

- There are two methods for displaying notes on records. Which method is used is determined by how the record is edited.
- Use the Default Visibility For Notes drop-down to determine who will have access to the notes you create.
- The Accounts Receivable preferences tab is used to determine invoice line item creation work flow.
- Check the Skip fee selection when creating invoice lines toggle to prevent the Fee Selection screen from automatically launching when a new invoice line is created. Click here for information on Generating and Entering Invoices.
- The Cash Receipts preferences tab is used to set up and save your Cash Receipt printing and search preferences. This tab will only be displayed if the currently signed-in user has been set up as a CR Operator. Click here for information on CR Operator Maintenance.
- Check the Always show modal search toggle to always display the individual module search options on the Cash Entry window.
- Check the Automatically print duplicate (copy) receipt toggle if you would like a
duplicate receipt printed for each slip generated by a transaction. This option
is generally used by organizations that would like to keep a copy of each
receipt for their own records.
- If there are multiple slips that print on a receipt, a copy of each slip will print.
- Users will be prompted to print the duplicate receipt in a pop up window for each receipt generated.
- Check the Automatically print receipt on save toggle if you want to print a paper receipt for each cash receipt entered.
- Check the Pause printing between receipts toggle if you want printing process to pause for two seconds between printing the receipts. This option is generally used with the Automatically print duplicate (copy) receipt toggle but it can function on its own.
- The Payroll preferences tab is used to set up timesheet-related email alert notifications.
- Check the My Timesheet is changed or deleted by someone else toggle if you would like to receive an email alert when a timesheet you created is edited or deleted by another user.
- Check the A Timesheet is created for me toggle if you would like to receive an email alert when another user creates a timesheet for you.
- The email alerts will include the relevant details and a link to the view the timesheet.
- The Work Flows preferences tab is used to set up how users will be notified of new work flow steps that require your attention.
- The Out of Office toggle is used to set the user status to out of office. When checked, any work flows assigned to the user will not be added to the user's Tasks and Approvals section.
- The Alert Preferences section used to customize when you will receive work flow related notifications or emails. If no toggles are checked, you will not receive any notifications or emails regarding work flows.
- Email notifications are especially important for users that use the application infrequently. For example, a Finance Director that is responsible for approving invoice batches should be set up to receive email notifications. This ensures that time-sensitive work flow approval steps are addressed and do not time out.
- Users that use the application daily will be able to track their work flow responsibilities by paying close attention to the Tasks and Approvals section displayed at the top of the Cirrus home page.
- The Home item on the left navigation menu will also include a number indicator
if the user has outstanding tasks or approvals. Click here for information on work flows.
- Click the Save button
after updating your profile settings.
- Click the My Profile icon and select My Notes to open the My Notes screen.
- The My Notes screen will display all the Cirrus Notes you have created in the application.
- The Record Reference column will display the module and record details for each record.
- Notes that have passed the specified Expiration Date will not display with the active notes. Check the Expired notes toggle to view your notes that have expired.
- If notes are attached to a record, and that record is deleted, the associated notes will also be deleted.
- Select a note and click DELETE to delete the note and remove it from the record.
- Click the link in the Reference Record column to open the record in question.

- The My Notes screen will display all the Cirrus Notes you have created in the application.

Click the Profile icon and select Log Out to log out of the application.

Cirrus will automatically log you out of the application if you are inactive for too long. However, because Cirrus uses a session-based access system, it is possible that your session could still be active when you close the browser window where you are running Cirrus, reopen the browser window, and then access Cirrus again. For this reason, Springbrook recommends users log out of the application if they are using a shared computer.
