Area of Interest Maintenance

Summary

The Area of Interest Maintenance window is used to create and maintain area of interest codes. Area of interest codes are attached to open positions so applicants can provide information about their personal or professional interests.

Each area of interest will appear as a toggle on the Applicant Maintenance window (HR> Maintenance> Applicant> General tab> Areas of Interest field).

Step by Step

1     Open the Area of Interest Maintenance window.  

 

• The Area of Interest Maintenancewindow (HR> Maintenance> Area of Interest) will display all of the existing area of interest codes created in the application.
• Highlight an area of interest code and click the Delete icon to delete the selected code.
  • Deleted area of interest codes will be removed from existing applicants and positions.
• Click the Create icon to create a new area of interest code. This will activate the Maintenance section to the right.

2     Create a new Area of Interest code.  

 

• Enter a unique Area for the code. This field can be up to 50 characters in length.
  • Once you save an area of interest code, the Area field will no longer be enabled for editing.
• Enter an optional Description for the code. This field can be up to 256 characters long and can be edited after the new code is saved.
• Click the Save icon to save the new area of interest code.
• The new area of interest will be displayed on all new and existing applicants and positions.
